Col(ret) Wes Hallman was a one of the top two vote getters for California’s newly-drawn Congressional District 28 (CD-28) following the primary on June 7th. CA-28 encompasses much of the northern San Gabriel Valley from Monterey Park up to La Crescenta and eastward across the foothills to include Wes’ hometown of Glendora, the San Gabriel Mountains, and the hillside and mountain communities of western San Bernardino County.


Wes is a fourth-generation Southern Californian. After graduating from Glendora High School, he earned an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy where he was an Outstanding Graduate and Captain of the intercollegiate swim team. He served 27 years on active duty as a fighter pilot flying the F-15C and F-22, to include over 150 hours of combat time in the Middle East. When he wasn’t

flying, he was doing national security policy at the highest levels of our federal government to include as a White House Fellow and as the Air Force’s liaison to the House of Representatives. Wes’ wife of nearly 28 years is a senior executive in a federal agency and is an immigrant from Uruguay in South America.

They have three daughters aged 25, 23, and 15.


Of the primary, Wes said, “I’m proud and encouraged by what this campaign was able to achieve in such a short period of time. I am dedicated to running a campaign focused on bringing back real representation to all the people of the new 28th District focusing on attacking inflation and returning a vibrant economy, safety and security for our communities and nation, and investing in the next generation’s education putting parents first because our best days as a nation are ahead of us.”
