Tragically, we mourn the loss of yet another fentanyl overdose death of a high school student this week in Los Angeles. At the same time, Pasadena police officers seized 328,000 candy-colored fentanyl pills as part of an ongoing investigation which has resulted in over 708,500 pills seized THIS YEAR.

The public health crisis America is facing right now with fentanyl is only escalating.

More than 770 Californians under age 24 died of fentanyl overdoses last year, a 21-

fold increase since 2016, yet the state's single-party leadership offers no solutions on how to fight this growth.

The fentanyl crisis is a cancer that has metastasized to the core of this state’s and

nation’s future, our students. The 28th congressional district has suffered along with the rest of California, yet Judy Chu and national Democrats refuse to address the fundamental issues fueling this devastation.

The fentanyl crisis is a matter of national security and should be dealt with as such. Wes Hallman supports national and

local measures to combat this crisis, including more education, strengthening of our borders especially at ports of entry, and supporting law enforcement's operations against narcotics trafficking. In this election, it is imperative to support candidates who will keep our families safe, will get fentanyl out of the hands of our loved ones, and will fight in Congress to ensure the integrity of our nation and communities.
